Dr. Christina Coleman
Dr. Christina Coleman
Dr. Christina Coleman began her professional career outside of dentistry – she graduated cum laude and earned her Bachelor of Science in Photography from Drexel University. She worked for Sister 2 Sister magazine and US News and World Report until she decided that a change was in order, and began to pursue a career in healthcare.
Dr. Coleman applied to a dental assisting program at the University of North Carolina, where she decided to advance her studies and make dentistry her primary focus. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Maryland and continued to study at the Samuel Sinclair Dental Center, Rhode Island’s largest and oldest dental care practice for children and adults with special needs, as a General Practice Resident.
While in residency, Dr. Coleman realized her love of pediatric dentistry and pursued training in the specialty at Howard University, where she served as Chief Resident during her final year in the program.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Coleman still spends time with her first love: the arts. In her free time, she enjoys photography and what she refers to as “museum hopping.” She loves to try new things, which currently includes roller skating and maybe even surfing now that she lives closer to the beach.
She looks forward to making connections with you and your children while serving all of your dental needs!
