Important Information Regarding Reopening Our Practices

Weis Pediatric Dentistry is excited to announce we will be open at our Portsmouth and Chesapeake offices as of Monday, May 4th, 2020. For your safety, we have implemented several different techniques in order to minimize the risk of any transmission of the coronavirus or other infectious diseases. Our offices have been and will continue adhering by the CDC and ADA guidelines for patient care and infection control. 

You will notice some changes at your next appointment, but again, these are all in place to promote the safety of all of our patients and staff. Please take the time to read over these changes before your next appointment:

We will initiate a verbal screening during your initial call, and we will complete that same screening when arriving for your appointment. 

When you arrive for your appointment, please call us to let us know that you have arrived before entering the building. One of our team members will meet you at the door to complete our screening process, which will include questions about recent  travel, health and possible contact with anyone who may have been exposed to COVID-19.

All patients and staff will have their temperature taken before entering the building.

We ask that only one parent or guardian accompany their child to their appointment, in order to reduce the amount of traffic to our office at one time. 

We ask that the parent or guardian remain in their car during the duration of their child’s visit. We will call you to let you know when their appointment is finished.

Please wear a mask or appropriate face covering when visiting our office.

Over the next few weeks, we will be reaching out to all patients that had their appointment cancelled due to COVID-19 to reschedule. We kindly ask for your continued patience as we reach out to everyone in a timely manner.
